Here at Katimavik our plan is to post one photo a day for a full year to give you a visual understanding of the reality of the Katimavik program in our part of the country. We have over 100 projects in Canada and each one of them has a unique context and quality that we want to capture in these photographs. Please join us on this photo journey and we hope it paints a picture of the amazing experience that this program provides for Canadian youth.

At the Canadian Cancer Society's Relay 4 Life, the Katimavik volunteers had the opportunity to meet and speak with their local Mayor who was their in support of the fight against cancer. Part of being an engaged citizen is knowing who the key members and leaders of the community are. Katimavik volunteers get to discover up to three different communities during their 9-month program and in doing so get to identify what means to be a community.
